Primary Function
The primary purpose for the Aircraft Arresting System Technician Senior
is to perform duties involving the maintenance and repair of aircraft Arresting Systems and supervise subordinate technicians and actively support and uphold the Company's stated vision, mission, and values.
Responsibilities
Inspect mechanical and structural construction.
Installation and monitor operational testing of aircraft arresting gear systems according to contract specifications.
Examine system components such as pumps, valves, cables, and air and steam lines for defects and faulty installation.
Compare operational functioning with contract specifications to ensure serviceability and safety.
Test questionable components using standard instruments and gauges.
Monitor operational testing of equipment and assist in determining causes of malfunctioning equipment.
Prepare reports of findings to facilitate modifications.
Supervise all Arresting Barrier Technicians assigned to the program.
Other duties assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Must be a US citizen with a valid tourist passport.
Must have a valid US-issued driver's license.
Perform O&M on Aircraft Arresting Barrier Model BAK-12/14/E32A.
Experience with textile brake arresting systems.
Must be fully qualified and certificated for the BAK-12/14/E32A or similar system.
Must have a minimum of 4 years experience in O&M of BAK-12/14/E32A or similar system.
Must have completed an approved DoD school, or equivalent commercial school, in O&M of such systems.
Must be tasked-certified Electrical Power Production Craftsman qualified to certify aircraft arresting systems per AF132-1043.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
Able to work in extreme weather conditions for moderate periods of time.
Able to lift 50 pounds.
Able to stand for long periods
