Job Duties
The Avionics Technician will install and maintain avionics and electrical systems in regional aircraft (ATR airframe).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Install and maintain avionics systems and components in accordance with Company policies and procedures, manufacturer’s manuals and FAA requirements; diagnose and repair malfunctioning avionics systems; inspect, clean and test avionics systems; document completion of modifications.
Generate related aircraft maintenance work forms and records; advise and assist with engineering and avionics modifications; assist in the development of Company work cards and procedures relating to avionics systems testing and maintenance.
Ensure that work area is clear and free of obstructions and unsafe hazards; serve as a positive, constructive, communicative leader for the organization and its customers and policies for the industry and its participants.
Serve as positive role model for ethical behavior and promote an awareness and understanding of positive ethical and moral principles that is consistent with these principles; provide guidance, direction, management and support in a secure and dignified work environment; promote and support the mission of our client.
Other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Two years of avionics maintenance with knowledge of test equipment, preferred.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and technical publications and understanding of FARs and avionics systems operation, required.
. Must have excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
Must adhere to the Company’s FAA/DOT required Drug and Alcohol Program, required.
Facility Description

, operating under a Part 145 certificate. Housed in a modern 50,000 square foot facility, we provide state-of-the-art maintenance for your aircraft.
As a division of a regional airline, our client boasts an excellent maintenance history.
Maintaining planes since inception in 1977. Forest Service contracts led to heavy checks on Twin Otters and Beech 99s. Maintenance work expanded again in 1988 they landed a contract to fly and maintain Caravan 208s.
Since 1990, they have been performing heavy checks on FAR 121 aircraft. We began with Fairchild F27s, then Fokker F27s, Shorts 360s, and ATR 42/72s.
Since receiving our Part 145 Certificate in 2006, our client has added Bombardier Dash 8 all series, Embraer EMB 120 all series, Saab 340 all series, and the Cessna C208 all series to our ops specs. We now have more than 15 years of experience
maintaining large turboprop aircraft and recently added the Embraer ERJ-145 onto our Ops Specs and hope to add more types in the future.
